Free Volunteer Work Placements

The following is a message from ETARC regarding volunteer work placements...

Would highly trained, skilled and fully qualified staff working for you for free be of any interest to you?

We are currently contacting new companies in and around Wales with a view to increase our partner organisation portfolio. We are receiving more and more highly qualified young professionals and graduates from around Europe than ever before, and we need more work placement organisations to offer employment. This will be on a temporary employment basis and at no cost to your company

The Leonardo de Vinci programme provides an opportunity for graduates, young professionals and vocationally trained people to undergo a 1-3 month work placement from Europe to Wales in their own field of training and expertise. The programme is fully sponsored by the European Union, which means that all placements are voluntary with no costs to the work placement organisation.

The aim of this programme is to increase language skills, share knowledge and increase job opportunities for the students back in their home country. All programmes start with an advanced level English course at ECTARC in Llangollen, after which they are relocated to their place of work.

During their entire stay, all students are housed in host families and closely monitored by ECTARC.

We accept candidates from many backgrounds and level of experience. Some of these include:

  • Hotel and Catering, Tourism
  • Architectural design, Industrial, Graphic and Web design
  • IT, Banking, Business and Administration
  • Marketing, PR, Sales and Events Management
  • Accountancy, Finance, Import/Export
  • NGOs, Social Work, Teaching and Nursery education
  • Journalism, Photography, Film and Multimedia
  • Retail, Culture and the Arts
  • Horticulture, Agriculture and Laboratory work

So how does it work? We carefully match each candidate to a suitable work placement organisation. Once a match has been found, the participants CV will be emailed to the organisation.

The participant will start the placement on the agreed date (set by our overseas partner) and can be regarded as a new member of staff/trainee. If any serious problems arise, ECTARC can intervene if appropriate and the placement can be terminated if it is deemed necessary and agreed by all parties. Luckily, this very rarely happens!

I hope this information is helpful to you. If you require more information, please visit our website at www.ectarc.com

If you are interested in becoming an ECTARC work placement organisation, I or a member of my team would welcome the opportunity of coming to your office to discuss the programme in more detail or by phone if you prefer.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Regards,
